Exploratory Data Analysis(EDA)

Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) is the initial phase of the Company Intelligence workflow, designed to generate first-touch insights into a selected KPI. It leverages descriptive statistics and structured visualizations to assess how the KPI is distributed and how it evolves over time within a defined country and industry scope.

Within this framework, EDA systematically examines key business dimensions—including business type (public vs. private), regions, cities, and legal forms—to uncover patterns in structure, concentration, and performance. It incorporates time-series analyses of totals, averages, and relative shares to highlight trends, segment differences, and the economic relevance of industries.

In addition, EDA analyzes company lifecycle dynamics through registration and termination patterns. This includes metrics such as active company development, termination rates across regions, business types and legal forms, lifespan distributions, and Kaplan–Meier survival curves.

Overall, EDA provides a structured, descriptive foundation that enables consultants to identify key patterns, validate assumptions, and prepare for more advanced analytical or predictive modeling.
