Academic titles, official titles, and aristocratic titles are generally not used in North Data evaluations and are not available through the Premium Service or Data Service.
In trade register announcements there are regular title information. Academic titles (Prof., Dr., etc.), official titles/ranks (e.g., Cardinal, Senior Teacher, Major), as well as aristocratic titles (Count, Baron, etc.). The use of titles is not handled consistently, often differing from one announcement to the other and is usually not verified. For this reason, we do not evaluate title information.
Aristocratic titles are included if they can be clearly identified as being part of the name. This depends on the individual case: simple aristocratic titles are usually included as part of the surname. This is not possible in case of elaborate, compound titles.
