How does North Data determine the city shown next to a person's name?

The city is based on the latest publicly available register or publication in which the person appears with an address.

The city displayed in a person’s profile, in front of his/her name is based on publicly available sources, in particular official publications such as commercial registers and similar announcements.

The city is taken from the most recent available publication in which the person is listed together with an address. This information is always linked to a specific role or function (e.g. managing director) and does not necessarily reflect the person’s actual or current place of residence.

Please note:

We do not have access to private or individual documents (e.g. registration certificates) and therefore cannot use them to update this information. The displayed city can only be updated if corresponding information is published in publicly accessible sources. In some cases, these publications originate from international registers or paid sources.

If a person appears with different cities in different publications, this may result in multiple entries in the search results.
