Voting Rights
Voting Rights indicate that a person or entity holds voting power in a company and can influence corporate decisions through voting rights, regardless of the percentage of shares owned. Voting rights may arise from direct share ownership or other legal arrangements that grant control over voting decisions.
In North Data, this term is used when official filings identify a person or entity as holding voting rights that provide influence or control over a company's decisions.
Example:
For TRT Ltd., Rolls-Royce Plc is reported as holding more than 25% but not more than 50% of the voting rights, while Chromalloy United Kingdom Limited holds 75% or more of the shares. Since Rolls-Royce Plc exercises significant voting power in the company, the relationship is classified as Voting Rights.
