How to see liquidation or terminated dates using event filters and export the results?

This article explains how to find companies that have undergone liquidation or terminated and how to export the dates of their legal status changes.

Step 1: Go to the Power Search

  1. Navigate to the Power Search page on North Data.

  2. You can search within a specific country, place, industry segment, legal status or leave it open to search across all companies.

Step 2: Select the “Event” Filter

  1. Select the relevant event types:

    • Liquidation

    • Terminated

This filters the results to only include companies with an event related to a change in their legal activity status, such as liquidation or termination.

Step 3: (Optional) Set a Date Range

To refine your results:

  • Use the date selector to choose a specific time period (e.g., companies liquidated in the past year).

Step 4: Apply the Filter and Review Results

After applying the event filters:

  • The search results will display companies that have documented legal activity changes due to liquidation or termination.

Step 5: Export the Data with Legal Activity Change Dates

To export the filtered list:

  1. Click the “Export” button.

  2. You will receive an email containing a link to download the export as a CSV file.

Note: If you apply a filter only for legal status (e.g., selecting “Terminated” in the status filter) without using the Event filter, the export will not include the legal status change dates.
To ensure that activity change dates (such as liquidation or terminated dates) are included in your export, you must use the Event filter when setting up your search.
