EUID
The EUID (European Unique Identifier) is a Europe-wide unique identifier for companies introduced by the European Commission in 2017. It consists of a combination of the country code, the designation of the competent commercial register, and the company identifier within that register. An example is DEK1101R.HRB116737 for North Data, where DE stands for Germany, K1101R for the Hamburg Commercial Register, and HRB116737 for the respective registration number.
The EUID enables companies to be uniquely identified across national borders and allows information from different national registers and data sources to be reliably linked. Its aim is to increase the transparency and comparability of company information in European business transactions. Further details are set out in a regulation of the European Commission, which is available at the following Link.
At North Data, the EU ID is displayed on company profiles in the “Identification” section.
