In the following countries, VAT IDs are publicly available and can be used as a search keyword in the API:

• Belgium
• Denmark
• Spain
• Switzerland
• Poland
• Norway
• Greece
• France
• Finland

Countries where searching by VAT ID is not recommended:

In Germany, VAT IDs are not publicly accessible. We only display VAT IDs for companies that publish them on their official websites. This information is provided by our partner Dealfront.

In Austria, VAT IDs are only partially listed in the register (WKO). Since VAT IDs are only assigned in certain cases (e.g. companies with multiple activities), they are not available for all companies in Austria.

We recommend using VAT IDs as a keyword in the Power Search API only in countries where this information is publicly available for most companies. We do not recommend using it for Germany and Austria.
