Power Search: Legal Forms Filter
Limit your search results to companies with one or more specific legal forms.
Use the Legal Forms filter in the Power Search and narrow your search results to companies with certain legal forms (eg: AG, SA, Ltd). You can select one or more legal forms from the drop-down menu.
How to Use the Legal Forms Filter
The dropdown menu is divided into 2 sections by a line.
1) Above the line: These entries represent legal form families that match internationally. Choose from here when you want comparable results across countries. This means selecting "Corporation" will include companies that correspond to that form (eg: AG/SA/SE)
-
Germany: AG (Aktiengesellschaft)
-
France: SA (Société Anonyme)
-
European: SE (Societas Europaea)
2) Below the line: These entries represent specific legal forms that exist in the countries you have selected in the Countries filter. If no country is selected, all available legal forms are displayed.
Practical Example
In the Power Search, select Germany from the All Countries field. Then click on the Legal Forms field and select Corporation (above the line) in the drop down menu. The search results will include all companies registered as AG -i.e. all corporations in Germany. If you add France in the All Countries field, the search will also include SA i.e. all corporations in France.
If you need to target a very specific legal form, select it from the options below the line to ensure only entities with that exact form are included in your results.
This structured approach helps in finding the right companies efficiently while ensuring comparability across different jurisdictions.
In this video, we focus on the Power Search and how you can use the available filters to find those companies which match your criteria.
