Power Search: Legal Forms Filter

This filter can be used to limit search results to companies with one or more specific legal forms.

The Legal Forms filter in the Power Search allows you to refine your search by selecting specific legal forms of companies. This feature helps in identifying relevant entities based on their corporate structure across different countries.

How to Use the Legal Forms Filter

  • You can select multiple legal forms to broaden your search.

  • The dropdown menu is divided into two sections:

Above the line: These entries represent legal form families that match internationally. Selecting one of these categories will include all corresponding legal forms from different countries. For example:

    Corporation matches legal forms like:

        • Germany: AG (Aktiengesellschaft)

        • France: SA (Société Anonyme)

        • European: SE (Societas Europaea)

Below the line: These entries represent specific legal forms that exist in the countries you have selected in the Countries filter. If no country is selected, all available legal forms are displayed.

Practical Example

If you select Corporation (above the line) and Germany as a country, the search will include all companies registered as AG. If you additionally select France, the search will also include SA.

If you need to target a very specific legal form, select it from the options below the line to ensure only entities with that exact form are included in your results.

This structured approach helps in finding the right companies efficiently while ensuring comparability across different jurisdictions.
