How does Power Search classify and display Israeli company types?

Company legal forms in Israel work differently from those in Germany. The vast majority of Israeli companies are registered as Limited Liability Companies (Ltd.). Under Israeli company law, “Ltd.” is the standard legal form for most incorporated businesses. Whether a company is public or private, Israeli or foreign, is treated as a matter of corporate type rather than legal form.

Since both public and private companies have the Ltd. legal form, North Data’s Power Search filters work somewhat differently for Israel compared to other countries.

• Applying the filter corporation will show publicly traded companies that are registered in Israel or at least have an Israeli subsidiary.
• The filter limited liability company will show all limited liability companies operating in Israel. This includes both private and public Israeli companies (Ltd.), as well as foreign companies with comparable legal forms, such as the Dutch BV.
• The filter for the legal form בע״מ will only show companies incorporated in Israel. This excludes all foreign companies.
