Direct Parent

A Direct Parent is an entity that directly consolidates or controls another entity and represents the immediate higher level in the ownership or corporate group structure. The relationship exists directly between the two entities, without any intermediary entity in between.

In North Data, this term is used when official ownership or LEI relationship data identifies an entity as the immediate consolidating or controlling company of another entity, without any intermediary entity in between.

Example:

A relationship record with the type "IS_DIRECTLY_CONSOLIDATED_BY" indicates that the entity with DSV Fairs & Events GmbH (LEI 529900ENU8O2Q6KOLT08) is directly consolidated by the entity with Deutsche Bahn AG (LEI 52990063S23N13HU4E98). Therefore, the consolidating entity is classified as the Direct Parent.
